Madrid, April 8th, 2024. In 2022, the IMDEA Nanociencia team took the podium of the II Nanocar Race. Eight teams of scientists from around the world competed to move their molecules as fast as possible, in a race that would last 24 hours straight.

In a new outreach video, Prof. David Écija, technical director of the Nanohispa team, tells the details of the race, including the science behind the mechanism that makes it possible to move to these tiny vehicles.

The video was produced by the Quantum Fracture team, and has already accumulated more than 148,000 views. The full interview can be watched here.
